Quadrobics workout: Armadillo walk cycle (warm-up and demonstration)

Armadillos are a favorite animal of mine. They don't actually roll around while in their little armored-ball, and most armadillos actually don't roll up into balls, only the three-banded armadillo does. Either way, we love the armadillo here at the Aminal Z.E.W.. They are the symbols of exploration and space in the Mayan tzolkin, and have the capacity to "sky-walk" or explore the shamanic space between here and the other worlds. The Mayans regarded the armadillo as a very special animal and treated the creature with a great deal of respect, honoring the powers they believed were carried within the animal's spirit, as do I. Many of my favorite aspects of being a proud keeper here at the Aminal Z.E.W. are the ones pertaining to internal exploration and metaphysical wisdom that accompanies the gig, so me and the armadillo have gotten pretty familiar with each other's character by now. Most, if not all of my aminal walks are derived from at least some form of shamanic activity, on top of intense ethological and morphological study of the animal in question, which makes the powers of the armadillo an indispensable cornerstone of my activities. There are not too many conservation groups devoted solely for the preservation of the armadillo as whole, but there are quite a few zoos & wildlife sanctuaries doing what they can to promote awareness for the species and encourage more conservation efforts for this indispensable phenom of nature.
I typically don't try to point people towards zoos as the sole means of helping a species out that's on the brink of extinction, not because I have any dislike towards zoos; quite the opposite in fact. Majority of all animal conservation progress comes directly from the efforts of zookeepers and zoological societies from across the globe and that deserves to be addressed adamantly. I only refrain from typically referring people to zoos for animal conservation efforts because many animal species have entire organizations dedicated to the preservation of their existence, and they, imo, deserve accreditation first and foremost. All of the animal conservation groups I recommend are intensely vetted by myself before I post links to their efforts in my Youtube video descriptions, and many of them are risking their lives to help the creatures their organizations are devoted to protecting. Zookeeping is a very risky job, do not misunderstand, but so is being a park ranger in Tanzania; the Congo; Senegal; Somalia; Bangladesh; .... you get the point. Many accredited organizations do not have the funds or exposure that most zoos and aquariums do, so I try to do my best to put the conservation groups that are operating on an almost purely non-profit agenda in order to help them as best I can in their efforts to preserve wildlife and wildlife habitats.
