Chalicotherium is a strange and impressive animal, and one of my favorites. It's like a horse-gorilla-sloth-thing that lived in prehistoric African, and may still be around in the Brazilian wilderness, going by the classification of locals as the "mapinguari". For years, scientists were puzzled by the initial paleontological evidence associated with chalicotherium, due to not much of its fossilized remains being preserved and discoverable until later dates, but now that we have a full-enough skeletal structure to base our understanding of the creature on, science is mostly just curious how this creature necessarily became the way it is morphologically and why it was so unique in the first place. Though the creature known as the mapinguari and chalicotherium technically have their origins in entirely different countries, the descriptions of locals seems to point towards a creature resembling either a giant ground sloth or a chalicotherium. I've always liked the aesthetic of chalicotherium, so I'm happy to be able to present to you this walk cycle honoring one of my favorite creatures.
