Fremantle bridge detour - why is the cyclist signage so hard to see?

Main Roads WA have closed off Beach St in Fremantle until August 2024 to allow works to be undertaken under and around the old Fremantle traffic bridge.
The detour that has been setup isn't that bad, but the signage for cyclists is really hard to see, even when moving really slowly. The signage is too small and the placement isn't great. I had to ride through twice and it was only on the second occasion that I found the signage.
Next time I'm in the area, I'm going to take the car detour up East St and see what that's like. I'll also test the detour when riding from west to east - this video only covers riding east to west.
As usual, I wonder who got on a bike and tested cycling through this detour in both directions.
