History Hub Ulster researcher Nigel Henderson writes: "The only civic war memorial to be unveiled in Northern Ireland in May 1922 was the Hillsborough & District War Memorial. On Saturday 13th May 1922, Arthur Wills Percy Wellington Blundell Trumbull Hill, 7th Marquess of Downshire, unveiled the memorial which was dedicated by the Right Reverend Doctor Charles Thornton Primrose Grierson, Lord Bishop of Down and Connor and Dromore.
