AMAZING Vintage OTIS Elevator - Åboulevarden 70, Aarhus, DK

Now this is an UNEXPECTED find! When I first saw the call button I thought this elevator would've been modernized but I decided to give it a try since it still has its original landing floor indicators. Turns out that this elevator still retains its classic OTIS black buttons inside, so this was definitely a lucky moment for me! By the looks of the car interior, this elevator is estimated to be from the 1960s or maybe even older like 1950s.

Sadly the original relay controller has been replaced to microprocessor as the ride is now extremely smooth without a single abrupt stop, but hey as long as the inside is still original this is still very nice. This is an example of modernization I can still tolerate; replacing the controller but keeping the original aesthetic and fixtures. I believe the car lighting has also been changed into a shade of purple which looks a bit annoying and unpleasant to me. Forget the floor indicator inside as it doesn't work at all, so instead let's focus on those wicked OTIS black buttons. Seriously, I can't get enough with them!

The certificate frame has the name "H. Nielsen og Søn Maskinfabbrik A/S", a Danish company based in Copenhagen who was the distributor of OTIS in Denmark. It was later bought by OTIS and became Nielsen OTIS for some time.
