This inspirational drama concerns two neighbors living next to one another in a large apartment building, a dancer (Loretta Young) who has lost the use or her legs, and an architect (Gene Barry) who has lost the use of his hands, as told through the voice of Rusty O'Neill, the singer’s accompanist and arranger (played by Casey Adams).

Gene Barry was a stage, screen, and television actor is best remembered for his leading roles in the films The Atomic City (1952) and The War of The Worlds (1953) - and for his portrayal of the title characters in the TV series Bat Masterson and Burke's Law, among many television roles.

Barry died on December 9, 2009 at Sunrise Senior Living in Woodland Hills, California, at the age of 90. He is buried at the Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Culver City, California. His marker contains the epitaph, A Class Act.

Casey Adams, who also worked under his given name Max Showalter and was a popular co-star of Miss Youngs', was a film, television, and stage actor as well as a composer, pianist, and singer who in his career appeared on more than 1,000 television programs. In this episode, Adams exposes his talents at the piano.

During the 1950s he appeared in Navy Log in addition to films like Vicki (1953), Down Three Dark Streets (1954), Naked Alibi (1954), and Indestructible Man (1956). He appeared as Ward Cleaver in the original pilot for the 1950s sitcom Leave It to Beaver, but he was replaced by Hugh Beaumont for the television series.

In the 1960s he continued to land roles in such big-budget films as Elmer Gantry (1960), The Music Man (1962), and How to Murder Your Wife (1965). On July 30, 2000, Adams died of cancer in Middletown, Connecticut. He was 83 years old.
