Probably the most... interesting?... or maybe the most wandering?... I honestly can't think of anything to describe this bus line. It's the perfect combination of wacky and tactical... or ziggy?
This route was created out of necessity by service planners before the implementation of BaltimoreLink to fill in a role for linking Cherry Hill to downtown. That's it. Everything else was addition coverage needed to justify the existence of this route. From the way it sounds, it may seem like I'm being negative but the line is pretty simple and does what it needs to do. With the ongoing development taking place in Port Covington (now Baltimore Peninsula), the LocalLink 71 is in the driver's seat to experience increase ridership atop of the moderate ridership is sees right now.
Bus Driven: 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗙𝗹𝘆𝗲𝗿 XDE40 (40-footer)
▪ Frequency: 30-35 minutes (Weekdays/rush hour) / 30 minutes (Saturdays) / 30 minutes (Sundays & Holidays)
▪ Equipment: 2-3 buses (Weekdays); 2-3 buses (Saturdays); 2-3 buses (Sundays & Holidays)
▪ Length per Trip: 40 minutes
▪ Division: Bush
