Does perspiration correlate to performance?
All jokes aside, lets chat about hydration & the importance of it during your workout.
An analogy I use with my clients is this - Imagine your muscles as a symphony, and water is the conductor, orchestrating every movement, every lift, and every muscle contraction. Without the conductor, how do you expect everything else to go?
Not only is it going to improve your training performance. It is also going to improve your brain function, skin health, digestion & overall mood.
A very simple rule of thumb that I use with many of my clients is the 20/20/20 rule peri-workout. 20 oz of water with your pre-workout meal (90-120 min prior to training), 20 oz of water during your training session, & 20 oz of water with your post-workout meal. Boom, 60 oz knocked out within a 4-6 hour window possibly. Any way to create more of a habit around getting your water in.
Especially with how hot it is currently, hydration & electrolytes become extra important!
