Are you facing the unique challenges transitioning from pediatric to adult medical care can present for people with disabilities and their caregivers? Well, you’re not alone. Transitioning from pediatric to adult medical care looms large as one of the major components of our young adults’ transition to adulthood.
Please join Dr. David Traver as he provides information on:
– Awareness of the medical and health related conditions that are most relevant to the transition from childhood to adulthood
– How to successfully prepare for the transition from pediatric providers to adult medical care providers
– Practical resources to assist in the transition to adult medical care
Dr. David Traver has been serving the special needs community for over twenty-five years. He is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He received his MD from The Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics at what is currently Boston Medical Center. After finishing post graduate training at Stanford’s Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, he started a private practice focusing on autism spectrum disorders. He currently employs a combination of traditional, integrative and cutting edge, researched approaches in the testing and treatment of autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
