S1 E23: Shocking History & Breathtaking Rides | Laos On Two Wheels

Still stuck in Phonsavan due to heavy rain, we took the chance to dive into Laos' tragic past. We visited the MAG UXO Visitor Center to learn about the devastating bombings Laos endured and saw firsthand the impact that still lingers today. The scale of destruction hit us hard, and visiting an actual bombing site made it even more real.
After reflecting on history, we fueled up with a delicious (and super cheap!) local lunch before setting off on what turned out to be one of the most stunning rides of our journey. Winding mountain roads, jaw-dropping landscapes, and endless scenic views—Laos continues to blow our minds. We stayed overnight in a remote mountain village and woke up to one of the most magical sunrises we’ve ever seen.
The next stretch of road was unreal. Small villages perched on ridges, endless curves, and pure adventure on two wheels. And just when we thought the ride couldn’t get more exciting, we found ourselves at the edge of the Nam Et - Phou Louey National Park… which, as we quickly found out, might actually have tigers in it.
