We need to work on the region system we talked about in previous videos, before we start making units go to combat with attributes and modules, let's work on stablishing the foundations of a region system first, so let's see how to make a terrain for a RTS game, we will need various patches of terrain mesh with the same dimensions spread in a grid around the map, stuff that will need to be done in a specific workflow if you want it to work properly later in Godot,
We will be working with Blender to generate it from scratch, only requirements is for you to have a terrain mesh, which you model very easily with sculpting in Blender, then later we will need to follow some rules and steps to make sure this works.
