Revisiting the fuel system, I deleted all of the OEM BMW fuel lines and install new 6AN braided hose, as well as assemble a C5 corvette fuel pressure regulator w/6AN fittings (part one was modifying the fuel basked for 6AN feed, DW200 fuel pump install: • BMW E36 LS7 SWAP PT.5 - DW200 FUEL PUMP IN... ). New feed, return, and outlet to fuel rail is installed, all 6AN.
If you have an N/A setup, this is simply the easiest route you can take. For those aggressive N/A setups north of 550whp/600whp, or boosted setups, you'd want to go with something like an Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator instead of the C5 regulator.
The part number for the C5 regulator is WIX 33737 - AVOID CHEAP CHINA FPRs!!! The cheap C5 regulator "replacements" will not regulate pressure consistently like the OEM WIX 33737 (ACDelco C5 regulators are indeed marked WIX 33737).
On a C5 regulator, the return is 5/16", and feed from pump is 3/8", and outlet to fuel rail is 3/8", so purchase the proper 6AN fittings! Stay away from the plastic clip style, and elect for the screw type fittings on the regulator.
