This gentle yin yoga class focuses on releasing tension in the neck and shoulders while supporting mobility in the upper spine.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the neck, shoulders, and upper back are closely connected to the flow of Qi through the heart, lung, and small intestine meridians—pathways often affected by stress, grief, and prolonged sitting. Through slow, supported yin postures and longer holds, this practice invites circulation, softness, and a settling of the nervous system.
The class closes with one simple dynamic movement to reintroduce energy and mobility into the spine, with particular attention to the thoracic (mid-back) region, helping integrate stillness with gentle activation.
