A video summary of Waverley’s sailing from Portsmouth to Yarmouth and then round the Isle of Wight.
After departing Portsmouth Harbour Station Pier she is assisted in turning by a tug before making her way out into the Solent. Waverley calls at Yarmouth Pier on the Isle of Wight before cruising round the island in an anti-clockwise direction passing the famous Needles Rocks and lighthouse.
As Waverley heads across to St Catherine’s point there is a gentle roll due to the swell. She then cruises up the East side of the island where there is no wind on deck and the sound of the paddles can clearly be heard.
After calling at Yarmouth for a second time Waverley heads back through the Solent as the sunsets and two P & O cruise ships (Ventura & Azura) make their way out of Southampton Water.
As Waverley arrives back at Portsmouth the day light is fading after an excellent cruise.
