DUCKSTROMA is a classic 2D platform game in the spirit of the 1980s, released in 2020 and developed by AB-UltraNarwhal. The player takes on the role of Aura, a courier duck trapped in an alternate version of 1985, whose task is to deliver eight mysterious discs. The gameplay is based on precise jumping on platforms, collecting keys, switching levers and avoiding traps, while fighting enemies mainly involves bouncing off them like springs. A distinctive feature of the game is the use of eggs, which, when used correctly, allow you to jump to higher platforms and reach hard-to-reach places. The whole game is kept in a consistent, nostalgic retro style, while DUCKSTROMA 2, released in 2023, continues Aura's story and clearly deepens the plot. The second part places greater emphasis on exploration, environmental puzzles and conscious movement planning, while retaining the characteristic mechanics known from the first instalment: keys, switches, platform enemies and eggs as a tool for vertical movement.
