Cast resin snowflakes for Christmas ornaments! Simple resin casting of snowflake ornaments from a CNC carved wooden master and silicone mold. Blue and white mica powder color the snowflake and background relief. Like and subscribe if you like my work, and leave me a comment!
After CNC carving the wood, it was sealed with a waterborne lacquer to keep the silicone (Smooth-on Mold Star 15) from sticking. Alumilite clear slow made a great resin base - vacuumed to reduce bubbles.
