The Messerschmitt Bf 109Z Zwilling was a twin Bf-109 design intended as an interceptor.
The jet-powered Messerschmitt Bf109TL was a planned jet version of the Bf109, intended as a backup to the Messeschmitt Me 262.
The rocket-powered Heinkel He 176, which only flew as a prototype, performed the world first rocket-powered manned flight.
