In the summer of 2007, Ukraine was plagued by a string of disturbingly violent unsolved murders.

Victims suffered intense blunt force trauma, while others had screwdrivers inserted through their skulls. Such levels of brutality drove fear into the city’s residents, who wondered who was capable of such horror and how they could avoid becoming the killer’s next victim. It wouldn’t be until late July, after four weeks of terror, that the culprits would be apprehended.
