Join us on a once-in-a-lifetime European road trip adventure as three generations—me, my 83-year-old mum, and my son—hit the road together, covering over 2,500 miles through France and Spain this Christmas 2024 and into the New Year 2025!

We journeyed from the UK to our apartment in Spain, stopping to visit a dear old friend in rural France, and making time to explore some of the most beautiful hidden gems in Europe. Along the way, we visited historic salt works, wandered through medieval villages, and planned a visit to the Bayeux Tapestry—sadly closed until February 2025!

🚧 Epic Roads & Bridges
Driving across France was an experience in itself. We crossed legendary landmarks like the Pont de Normandie and the jaw-dropping Millau Viaduct, and navigated major French autoroutes like the A28, A75, and A10, enjoying stunning winter landscapes all the way into sunny southern Spain.

🌞 Holiday Highlights
We celebrated Christmas Day 2024 and New Year’s Eve 2025 by the beach in Spain, enjoying the local festivals, delicious Mediterranean food, and some quality family bonding time. This trip was all about family, adventure, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

french medieval villages tourThe 3 of us drove down to Spain to visit the apartment stopping on the way to visit an old friend in France. Christmas 25 and into the new year. We covered around 3000 miles in total and visited some interesting places along the way. A salt work. Old medieval villages. But unfortunately the Bayeux tapestry was closed until Feb 2025.

We had fun and enjoyed the festival season on the beaches in Spain.
