In the first weekend of March I headed to Coniston in the Lake District for a few days of hiking and drinking local ales! Through the snow and ice we hiked up the Old Man Of Coniston, as well as some lower level walks over to Hawkshead and the surrounding hills. Cracking little weekend, with some pretty amazing views of the Western Lake District!
And no, I don't advocate using a bivvi / survival bag in that way :)
