First Steam Trains of 2025; Steamrail Moomba Festival Shuttles A2 986 & K183 [4K]

On the 9th & 10th March 2025 Steamrail Victoria kicked off the 2025 steam season operating shuttle trains in conjunction with the Moomba Festival on the Labour Day long weekend. Steam locomotives A2 986 & K183 operated six shuttles each day between Flinders Street and Glen Huntly on the Frankston Line.
In this video we see the steam shuttles across both days at numerous stations and trackside spots along the Frankston Line, including Richmond station, South Yarra & the Cremorne Railway Bridge, Hawksburn, Toorak, Armadale, Malvern, Glen Huntly, and Batman Avenue. Most of the clips were recorded on Sunday 9th March but I did return the following day to film a couple of extra clips. It was relatively hot outside on both days, with Sunday in particular reaching a top of 35 degrees.
This is also my first new video to be recorded back in Australia after returning from my recent holiday to Japan and Hong Kong. I miss the eternal winter in Hokkaido prefecture :'(
