Sorting Hat Cauldron Cakes | My Harry Potter Kitchen | Prisoner of Azkaban (Ep. 27)

This week our Honeydukes recipe adventure is serving up Homemade Cauldron Cakes with hidden Hogwarts House sponge centres!

We're jumping back into Chapter Five of the Prisoner of Azkaban - "The Dementor" where Ron has finally finished reeling off Honeydukes Sweets - but the Trolley Witch has arrived with more treats when we see "she handed Harry a large stack of Cauldron Cakes" - sounds like there's plenty to go around!

Cauldron Cakes are back! We originally tackled these during the Philosopher's Stone where we formed our Cauldron Cakes out of moulded chocolate, cake and cream. This year I wanted to infuse a little house pride into them by conjuring up Sorting Hat Cauldron Cakes!

Made from vibrant coloured sponge cakes, a black chocolate ganache, and fiery buttercream icing, these cute Cauldron Cakes are easy to make, taste amazing and allow your guests to cut in to reveal their Hogwarts House!
