In this video, I remove the front bumper from Project C1 and do some repair work. This bumper has been through the wars over the years, its had bumps, scrapes, stone chips etc and it’s looking a little scruffy, so it needs to be refreshed. I have sanded it down so that the damage is flat, prepared the surface for paint and laid down a few coats of paint.
Once the paint had cured, the intention was to sand, compound and polish it before re-fitting it, but then my Volvo XC60 was brutally murdered by an HGV on a dual carriageway (photo in the video), so Project C1 became my daily driver for a while! I had to skip the polishing step and build it for daily use. There’s also some spot lights in the new mesh grille, but they’ll come in a new video.
