In response to a comment on my video for the Golden Rule of becoming a better poet, one user, let's call 'em Jo(e), asked the age old question: "Why is writing poetry so F#*$@@#*& difficult?!"
The truth is that beginning poetry is as easy as picking up a pen, but to improve takes practice. Wearing the right gear doesn't make you a marathoner, training does. The same is true of poetry. So watch the rest of my videos for inspiration, and start practicing. If it takes you years to become the poet YOU want to be, best start now. You'll find it doesn;t actually take that long for you to really see improvements! And you'll know for yourself when that is starting to come true.
