💙Release Swings with our talented dancers in action!
➡️Enhance back mobility and strengthen the flat back position to improve dance dynamics and range of motion. This movement will strengthen the quads and glutes, stretching the lateral muscles deeply.
💙The brilliant Lester Horton developed a technique that was far ahead of its time. It allowed the body to expand its range of motion using dance and anatomy in a way that was unlike any other dance style at the time. Release Swings are a great exercise to engage your students after the Laterals.
Enjoying this unique motion will help them start moving and controlling their backs. Release Swings are quite physical, so do not introduce them in your first class. Wait a few weeks, and make sure to always prepare your students properly for them, especially with the Primitive Squats and Laterals beforehand.
