Doubles is not singles with extra people. In this video you’ll learn the core differences, the exact roles of the net player and baseline player, where to stand and move, what shots to choose (keep it low and middle), and how to set up your partner instead of playing 1-on-1 patterns.
I’ll also show you my favorite doubles tactic—“the Teaser”—that baits the net player into a bad play and sets up easy put-aways.
🤓 You’ll learn:
🎾 Why doubles requires low, middle, controlled pace instead of deep, high singles patterns
🎾 Net player positioning (neutral ready, elbows away, track the ball, poach reads with hip cues)
🎾 Baseline player mission (protect partner, build in the middle, slice to keep it low, then join the net)
🎾 Movement as a team (shift with the ball, split on contact, anticipate high-percentage shots)
🎾 When to leave tough balls at the net (don’t “participate” if you can’t pressure or finish)
🎾 The Teaser return: low, middle/“T”, tempting pace that forces bad pop-ups

Perfect for: club/intermediate players who want immediate doubles wins without overhauling strokes.
