This fanbase then grows and rather than letting the game fade away other the years it skyrockets it’s popularity more and more with each year
And when it comes to the JRPG genre, well it’s hard to think of a better example than Final Fantasy 7 back in 1997.
Because this was more than just the 7th entry in the Final Fantasy franchise, it was a monumental and reedifying moment for the JRPG genre overall.

Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most beloved JRPG's of all time, with remakes on the way such as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Crisis Core Reunion coming this Winter and Winter 2023 as well.

It could be said Final Fantasy 7 popularity is rising to it's peak once again, making people wonder if the original game is still worth playing in 2022?
