Vernon Steiner, appointed President and CEO of State Fund in 2014, brings more than three decades of experience in the insurance industry, primarily in workers’ compensation. His career began in 1990 as a Claims Examiner and progressed through leadership roles at AIG, CNA, and Zenith Insurance before joining State Fund. He has held influential positions on several industry boards, including the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute and the California Workers’ Compensation Institute, where he served as Board Chair. He also serves on the Workers Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau Governing Committee. Vern holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from UCLA.
