On this trip, we start at Taihe West Toll Station, joining the G45 Daguang Expressway before switching to the G1517 Taijing Expressway at the Taijing Interchange.
Driving west along the Taijing Expressway, we enter the rolling hills of south-central Jiangxi. In late autumn, the mountains remain richly green as the road winds through lush ridgelines, with bridges and tunnels appearing in steady rhythm along the way.
As the first expressway leading to China’s revolutionary holy land, Jinggangshan, the Taijing Expressway is more than a vital transport corridor — it carries deep historical significance. As the elevation gradually rises, the views begin to open up, revealing valleys, forests, and quiet rural landscapes that give this drive a calm yet profound atmosphere.
The journey concludes at the Jinggangshan Scenic Area Visitor Center, capturing in full a highway that connects history with nature, and inviting you to experience a smooth and reflective drive through the mountains in late autumn.
