This hike yielded the BEST views I've seen in Mt. Rainier National Park so far.
Mt. Rainier has quite a few fire lookouts inside, and outside of the national park. The Mt. Fremont Fire Lookout was on my list to visit because it faces SW towards Rainier, making it possible to capture a Milky Way image while it passes over the mountain. But I'm not one to go on location for only ONE single photo.
In this video my buddy Ethan and myself make it a mission to reach the Mt. Fremont Fire Lookout for a triple threat of landscape photography: Sunset, Milky Way, and Sunrise photos. And BOY did we succeed.
I document this hike, with all of its pros and cons, and how we were successfully able to stay out all night to capture the longest Milky Way time lapse I've been able to achieve to date. Not only that, but I showcase an area just SE of the fire lookout that I believe to be the BEST spot to take in all the views this area has to offer.
We also awoke to a surprise visit from a furry creature I was NOT ready to have in our company. Watch to the end to see!
