Walk 127 | Tea Green

This five-and-a-half-mile circular walk through the Hertfordshire countryside offers a delightful mix of open fields, rolling hills, and charming hamlets.

Beginning next to The Barn in Tea Green, my route sets off across peaceful farmland, soon revealing a striking windmill conversion, a quiet marker of history repurposed for modern life. Ascending into the Chiltern Hills, the path stretches toward Ley Green, where hedgerows and quiet lanes frame the way forward. From here, the walk meanders downhill into King’s Walden, a village steeped in rural charm, before threading through Breachwood Green, where time seems to slow amid its traditional cottages and country roads.

The final section skirts the perimeter of Darley Hall, offering glimpses of its historic presence before the loop gently closes, guiding me back to Tea Green, a journey that blends elevation, scenery, and the quiet rhythm of the Hertfordshire countryside.
