Here’s The Devil’s In the Temple from the 2016 This House Is Not For Sale album!

I’ve listened to the This House album lately and got excited to do a few tracks of the album. Since Richie’s exit it is by far the best Bon Jovi product released imo. Jon was obviously writing from a vulnerable point of view, resulting in some really good stuff.
The Devil’s In the Temple is not my favorite on the album at all but I have never really arsed myself to learn it so it was time. It’s kind of a heavy track for Bon Jovi in 2016. To be honest I think the riff in the verses is pretty lame. I do like the solo/riff-section after the second chorus and also the last chorus when Jon goes for the higher notes.
Effectwise there’s a lot of reverb on the solo guitar that plays the sixteenths. Otherwise there’s an octave on the riff/solo that is during the second part of the solo section as well as the outro.
