As a Nigerian, this puts me in a difficult position. On one hand, I feel a sense of relief that the severe insecurity in Nigeria is finally getting urgent international attention. On the other hand, I am filled with fear. Looking at the history of foreign intervention in countries like Libya and Syria, the last thing we want for Nigeria is a similar fate.

This situation forces us to ask the critical question: Why is it so difficult for our own government to locate and stop these bandits and terrorists who operate in plain sight? I discuss the alarming videos of terrorists holding meetings freely, the controversial "repentant terrorist" programs, and the government's perplexing inability to use its intelligence capabilities effectively.
