Caries is a multifactorial disease state, and as such, we need tools to help us detect disease early, so that way we can treat, monitor, and prevent further disease in the future. Artificial intelligence is one of those technologies that can help detect radiolucencies due to demineralization radiographically. Once detected and having the proper diagnosis, utilizing the latest clinical guidelines for management of these early lesions.
Course Objectives:
1. Identify the importance of accurate detection and diagnosis of caries.
2. Review evidence-based caries practice guidelines on non-restorative treatments with examples.
3. Examine how Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Intelligence can support more accurately identifying and treating carious lesions.
