Big Trip 2024 11 - Holy Island Northumberland Chester Zoo Wales Motorhome Touring UK VanLife

Join us as we reach the end of week 5, of our 6 week motorhome trip around England, Scotland and Wales.

In this episode we visit The Holy Island of Lindisfarne in Northumberland, Have a lovely Farm Shop Park Up at Sunnyhills and head off towards Chester for a day out at Chester Zoo, then we head off to Wales, just outside Wrexham, before continuing on our way.

We had only had the van for about 6 months at this point and this is our very 1st long haul trip, will we last the duration or will we pack it all in and become weekenders!!

Not having had the van very long, we had no idea what long term (compared to a few months of being weekend warriors) vanlife would be like. But, we have visited some amazing places in England, Scotland and Wales and hope that you enjoy watching our travels.

We stay at free park-ups and paid park-ups as well as visiting a few campsites along the way (for water, laundry and emptying waste)

We are still very new at both motorhoming and making videos - so please forgive any newbie mistakes!!!

"The Van" is a McLouis Fusion 331 (we haven't named it yet, and might not!!) and it is just the perfect size for the two of us on the road.

This is the next chapter of our life together and we are very excited about all the places we can go!
We are still settling into the Van and are still finding our way with what we need, but starting to settle in. Navigating the space, the issues, the fixes and everything else that newbie motorhomers get to deal with.
