Forget the Ferry - I Flew Home Instead!

🎭✈️ From the stage…straight to the sky!

While on tour performing in a family show on the beautiful Isle of Wight, I realised I was just a stone’s throw from Sandown Airfield. Instead of the long and slow ferry ride back to London 🚢❌, I asked my mate if he fancied swinging by in his Katana DV20 to pick me up. He said YES! 🙌

So he popped down from Redhill Aerodrome, grabbed a quick pizza 🍕, then I joined and we took off for a stunning 30-minute hop back to Redhill - trading hours of travel for epic views and smooth skies.

This flight is extra special because it’s the first time I’ve combined my acting life with my aviation adventures here on the channel - so whether you’re an avgeek ✈️ or just love a good travel story, you’re in for a treat!
