Walking another section of the Weardale Way from Wolsingham to Bollihope in County Durham. It was a linear walk, 7 miles from Wolsingham to Bollihope, then head back on the same route.
It was a lovely day for trail walking, the sun was out, and there were plenty of snacks to be had. We started out at Wolsingham Station, then followed the signs. It took us past the Elephant trees, which are on Pikeston Fell. You have to use your imagination, and be at the right angle to see the elephant. However, apparently it was much more clear a few years ago, but some of the trees and branches were snapped in high winds.

Once past the Elephant Trees, we carried onto Bollihope, where we stopped for a snack and a coffee on our Gas Camping Stove. We actually stopped near a natural pool, where I have done cold water swimming / therapy before. Then we packed up and headed home on the exact same route.
Weardale Way Terrain: farmland field paths, riverside tracks, uneven moorland, stiles, and farmer gates.
