4 Questions To Ask Yourself When You Have A Negative Thought

It's important we shift our awareness to perceiving thought as a completely separate entity. We find ourselves lost in negative thinking when we attempt to see ourselves in thought rather than separate from thought. We should perceive ourselves as the "observing presence" or "witnessing consciousness", as Eckhart Tolle calls it.

Instead of asking, "how do I turn off my thinking?", ask "how can I confront my thoughts calmly and peacefully?" and from there you will naturally transcend thought. We break the addiction to negative thinking through awareness.

In this video, I'll be sharing 4 questions that I use to help me become more aware of my thinking, so I can separate myself from thought. I gathered up these questions from insight from my everyday journal entries and powerful spiritual teachers like Bryon Katie and Thich Nhat Hanh who have influenced my journey.
