Jairampur is an ADC HQ of Changlang district situated in the southeastern part of Arunachal Pradesh. A small hilly town along the Indo-Myanmar border and nestled in Namchik basin is a den of evergreen tropical rain forest. The historic Stilwell road that passes through the Jairampur and Nampong was concluded on October 1944 but by then WW-II was over. Many decades later, it is still known for the sacrifices the Allied forces made during its construction. The roadwork, which started in April 1942 with a length of 1079 miles, connected many important places between Ledo in Assam and Kunming in China. These small hamlets of Jairampur and Nampong symbolize a gesture of gratitude for those, who gave their today for our better tomorrow. The WW-II cemetery in Jairampur on the historic Stillwell Road divulges the truth, as it is a significant parts of history- it reminds us, the sacrifices of the soldiers as well as the enormous loss of human resources. Jairampur is a small hamlet located on historic Stilwell Road.
