Thompson, who has in-depth knowledge of Detroit's clergy group, discusses what the endorsement signifies, given the group’s inaction on various issues affecting Detroiters. He provides a historical and current perspective of the Black church. He explains why he believes that the Detroit Council of Baptist Pastors & Vicinity, under the current leadership of Rev. Richard White, has not met the expectations of struggling Detroiters.
