Peace, beauty, connecting with nature, renewal and fear. That describes me in nature. It’s complex, yet on many levels, simple.
I have been working with a trauma therapist for the past several years to overcome many of my fears that have held me hostage all my life. At the age of 54 I came to the point where I no longer was willing to continue being controlled by my fears. I was ready to follow my deep longing for adventure and exploring in nature.
On this particular adventure, camping surrounded by the forest and in complete darkness with only the light from the night sky stars, I experienced a pivotal breakthrough. I share this with you in my video along with beautiful scenery along the river. I rose up, reached out and reconnected in a powerful moment.
I’ve learned that small steps; stepping stones as I like to refer to them as, are key to my progression. On this night I victoriously stepped out onto a new stone in my journey.
