A Darwin Original Discovery

The Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh holds countless treasures among the three million specimens, but some of the most exciting are those collected by Charles Darwin on the Voyage of the Beagle. This film tells the story of how a member of staff unexpectedly came across two specimens as he was working – the first Darwin specimens from the Galapagos recorded at RBGE.
