Week 2 complete of my 6 month bulk! Today’s video takes you through a quick upper body day and then goes through a day of eating.
In my last video I spoke about how I am going to structure my calories, slowly increasing each week so that I can work my way up to my surplus calorie amount of 2600 calories.
Well, to my surprise: It has been quite easy to eat a higher calorie amount.. I just assumed that coming off a cut, I would need time to work up to my maintenance amount and then take that step further to be in a surplus but I have found I am already easily eating about 200 calories above my maintenance amount.
That being said, my anticipation is that: all that means is more time on this bulk to increase my strength and overall growth. So I am definitely not mad about that.
This also raises the question in my head about possibly having my peak calorie count during this bulk be closer to 3000 calories rather than stopping at 2600. I think just like most things in fitness, I will listen to my body and see the response throughout.
