Plinth blocks on the shaper

In this video, I walk you through the complete process of making plinth blocks using a shaper, or spindle moulder. Starting with grinding custom knives, i then move on to making a jig that allows me to run the profile across the grain with little to no tear out. If you do any heritage work, this is valuable knowledge on how to reproduce such pieces, since this kind of moulding is no longer something that can simply be bought at a hardware store, and in many cases, not even at a specialty moulding shop.
