DOLL RESTORATION! IDEAL TAMMY DOLL! BARBIE CLONE? SEWING FOR VINTAGE DOLLS! HOW TO REPAINT!

It’s TAMMY the IDEAL teen!! I always knew when I started my restoration series that Tammy had to be on the list. She is just such a cute doll. Although her concept is very close to Barbie, she very much clearly was targeting an audience that Barbie couldn’t reach. While Barbie held the mass majority, Tammy reached an audience who was either against Barbie for her controversial figure and stance, to children just genuinely loving her more due to her more relatable look. In this video we look into Tammy’s history, from beginning to end. We also restore her back to her former glory. As well as make her a new outfit so she can be queen of the prom!

Not included in the history is her foreign market sales, such as how popular she was in Japan. Also not included are the dolls from 1965-67 who share Tammy molds, such as Bewitched Samantha, and the superhero girls. all of those deserve to be mentioned in their own video as this video would’ve been too long had I mentioned everything. And I wanted to keep her history, which is quite impressive and documented, short. So we could get to a restoration. Tammy is an interesting character. I would’ve loved it to see her evolve just as Barbie over the years, but the closest we will get to that is looking at her English interpretation, Sindy.
