A narcissist is a person who has an excessive sense of self-importance, an overwhelming need for admiration and attention, and a lack of empathy for others. Narcissists often have an inflated sense of their own abilities and accomplishments, and may constantly seek to dominate or control others.

Narcissistic individuals may also have a grandiose sense of entitlement, expecting special treatment or privileges that they believe are owed to them. They may also have a tendency to exploit or manipulate others for their own gain, without regard for the feelings or well-being of those around them.

Narcissism can be considered a personality disorder when these traits become so extreme that they cause significant distress or impairment in a person's life, or when they interfere with their ability to function effectively in social or professional situations.
