We're going to continue with our focus on Tsumeb, Namibia for this presentation. Tsumeb, as many know, is one of the most prolific producers of some of the finest mineral specimens in the world. Home to over 350 species, Tsumeb is simply legendary.
So when it comes to publicly, viewable collections of Tsumeb material, the Mineralogical & Geological Museum at Harvard University is THE number one most important museum in the world for the display and preservation of Tsumeb pieces.
In this illuminating presentation, the Curatrix of the Harvard Museum, Dr. Raquel Alonso-Perez, takes center stage and she shares information about the history of the collection, how the museum preserves these precious pieces and why it's important to do so.
Joined on-stage by Martin Stevko and Malcolm Southwood, this is a truly eye-opening presentation into the Harvard Museum and how they're playing such a critically important role for the preservation of Tsumeb.
