As we continue to our second month and second live educational series, Dr. Graham continues to teach us the core theory behind the raw vegan lifestyle. For this month, it's all about Nutrition 101A. The three macronutrients: protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Where in the body do we find these nutrients? How much of each do we need, and what happens if we experience a deficiency or an excess of any of them? Each nutrient has a primary function and each is associated with specific disorders. How do we store these essential nutrients, and if we cannot store them, how do we replenish our supplies? We will look at all of this and more as we cover the basics of protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism.
