229 floors of happiness during the first day of the Kumano Kodo hike from Takijiri-Oji till Chikatsuyu-oji. The Kumano Kudo was one of the highlight of our trip...on the day before the hike we took the train from Osaka to Tanabe, to be able to have an early morning start for our hike. Then on the morning we Tok a 7am but to reach Takijiri-Oji and start the first day of the hike. We left all our luggage to our hotel in Osaka, thankfully, before today we had to climb 229 floors. The hike per se is not very complicated but it has a steep start and then gently go down till our Chikatsuyu-Oji.
