During the early hours of D-Day, 6th June 1944, the paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division utilised a small device known as a Cricket. This device made a clicking sound and was used as a means of communication between the paratroopers. The clicker was known as a Cricket due to the noise it made. In this video we look at the Airborne Cricket and its use on D-Day during WW2.
